Our purpose

Period tracking apps are incredibly handy for women, but they often miss the mark for Muslim users. Periods are closely linked to Muslim women’s religious practices, like performing prayer (Salat) and observing fasting (Syam) during Ramadan. We wanted to provide a tool to help them in those matters, particularly to keep track of missed fasting days so they never lose track of the days they need to make up.

What’s more, there are always questions asked in regards to rulings related to women’s purity. So we aim to compile a comprehensive guide in collaboration with specialized scholars to help you navigate these important aspects of Islam.

Also, graphic elements and content of mainstream period tracking apps, particularly in regards to sexuality, just don’t align with islamic values and principles. With Afifa, we aim to purify this content to make it suitable for muslim women of all ages.

We are just starting and many other features useful for muslim women such as a marketplace for products and services curated for muslim women’s health, pregnancy management or baby growth tracking are underway inshaAllah!
